Job Description
The Globalisation and Development (GAD) Programme
urgently seeks a profile to teach its upcoming “Project Management in
International Development” undergraduate course. Typical duties shall include the overall management
of the Globalisation and Development (GAD) Programme’s upcoming “Project
Management in International Development” undergraduate course, and thus the
delivery of weekly classes, the setting and invigilation of exams and tests, the
counselling of enrolled students – all under the supervision of the Programme
Director and the Dean of the Division of Humanities and Social Sciences.
Job Requirement
The successful candidate should hold a PhD in
a related field, as well as proven prior experience both in teaching within English-speaking
academic institutions, as well as in drafting and managing international
development projects – ideally on behalf of major NGOs or intergovernmental organizational
- in at least one of the following areas: capacity building, poverty
eradication, water and sanitation, disaster recovery, infrastructure
development, education.
The
GAD Programme shall start evaluating applications from December 7, 2020,
onwards.

Appointment Terms
Appointment to this position will initially be made on a fixed-term contract of one semester. Continuation of appointment beyond the initial term will be subject to mutual agreement.
