Communication are jointly offered by HKBU and UIC. Based on the respective
advantages of the two universities, the curriculum setting stands on integrating
knowledge and skills in the area of Media and Management, AI & Digital
Media, Communication Studies and Film, TV & New Media.

Professor/Assistant Professor in Media and Management (Ref:

Candidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas: Marketing Management, Human
Resources, Financial Knowledge, Business Strategy and Leadership Management.
2) Professor/Associate
Professor/Assistant Professor in AI and Digital Media (Ref: GS 201202)
Candidates with expertise in
one or more of the following areas: Computer
Graphics, Digital Media Communication, Human-computer Interface, Operating
Systems, Data Communications and Networking, Programming Languages, Digital
Media Computing, Database Management Systems, Machine Learning, Data Mining,
Data Processing, Statistics.
3) Professor/Associate
Professor/Assistant Professor in Communication Studies (Ref:
GS 201203)
Candidates with expertise in
one or more of the following areas: Media and Communication Studies, Public
Relations and Advertising, Marketing, Media Theory.
4) Professor/Associate
Professor/Assistant Professor in Film, TV and New Media (Ref: GS 201204)
Candidates with expertise in
one or more of the following areas: Communication Theories and Media Studies,
Video or TV Productions, Digital Photo Imaging, Film Directing, Acting, Sound
Recording, Cinematographing, Film Studies and Media Studies or Films related
areas.
Job Requirement
The candidate is
required to have a PhD degree or at least MFA in a
related discipline. Successful
candidates are expected to be committed to excellence in undergraduate or
postgraduate teaching. Preference will be given to candidates who can undertake
independent research leading to outstanding outcomes, including publications in
high quality international-refereed journals. Academic rank will be determined
in accordance with successful candidate’s experience and accomplishments.

Appointment Terms
Appointment to this
position will initially be made on a fixed-term contract of two years. Commencing
salaries will be commensurate with qualifications and relevant experience.
