Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to announce the holiday arrangement below for the coming Christmas, New Year and Chinese New Year.
1. Christmas Holiday
All staff will get one day off on Dec 26th, 2016

2. New Year Holiday
All staff will get one day off on Jan 2nd, 2017

3. Chinese New Year Break
All administration offices will be closed from Jan 23rd – Feb 3rd, 2017, and resume to normal service on Feb 6th, 2017.

i. During the aforementioned holidays except statutory holidays (viz. Jan 1st , Jan 27th-29th , 2016), staff members generally would not be required to report duties except that respective duties and work is needed. Junior Residence Assistants, who may need to provide regular services during this period, will follow their own work arrangements and schedule.  

ii. Staff members who have already taken other leaves (i.e. no pay leave, maternity leave, winter FAP from 19th Jan to 3rd Feb) during the period mentioned above, will not get extra leaves.

iii. General administrative staff members who have to work during the break (viz. Dec 26th, 2016 and Jan 2nd, Jan 23rd-26th , Jan 30th- Feb 3rd , 2017) may apply for 1:1 compensation leave.

iv. Staff members who have to work during the Statutory Holidays (Jan 1st, Jan 27- 29th, 2017) will get 1:3 overtime salaries.
